You make me cry today,
You make me powerless today,
You make me trek when I earnestly want to fly,
You make me and other Lagosians set out too early,
You make me a vampire today,

I'll make you a prey tomorrow,
I'll make you a common commodity available to everybody,
I'll put you in the pockets of those you vowed to impoverish

'LIMAN', loved by all, yet held by a few.
I may not be among the few today,
But 'e sure for me' tomorrow
So help me my Creator
